NOTES ON THE ARTISTS:
BROOK BLANCHE
Based in Wichita, Kansas, and has toured in the U.S. and Europe for over 15 years. Born and raised on the plains of Kansas, burned by the hard prairie sun, his voice keeping pace with the twisters that ramble across the state—inescapable and powerful and hypnotic all together. His songs are filled with hard-won and worn truths made joyful in their all too human consequence.
JOEL THETFORD
Raised in the shadow of Billy Bob's, one of Texas's legendary honky tonks, Joel Thetford grew up in Fort Worth listening to the sounds of classic country radio and the wide variety of rock and roll, blues, and folk music that the Texas scene provided. His career as a bull-rider landed him eventually in Stephenville, where the Texas Country scene was booming.
DUSTY BUCKETS
A string band residing in Maine, and a part of our local farming & music community. Traveling the country as street musicians learning and writing tunes. With an unmatched, upbeat sound and energy, combined with a deep and complex songwriting style, it surely makes for a unique performance.
